Hope you’ll join us for the next Friday Night Art: The Art of Small Things on May 2nd from 6:30-8:30PM at Mill Street Art Studio!

Join us for an evening of creativity in miniature! In this special Friday Night Art, you’ll create tiny 2”x3” artworks on watercolour paper—just the right size to fit in a petite mat and frame (included). Choose your medium: paint, draw, or collage your way into a small world filled with personal meaning.
Before the night, we’ll give you a little “homework”—a gentle invitation to think about a theme or series you might want to explore. A landscape you love, a favourite flower, a meaningful object, or even an abstract expression using your favourite colours.
Come with an idea—or come to explore. You’ll leave with a framed tiny treasure and a renewed sense of play and inspiration.
$45 (plus tax) per person
All materials included, plus a miniature frame to take home.

✿ Saturday, April 26th from 12-3pm
✿ Mill Street Art Studio in Creemore
✿ $60 + tax, includes the use of all materials, paint, brushes and watercolour paper.
Water is ever-changing—calm, reflective, and full of light. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to translate those qualities into a beautiful gouache painting. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll experiment with colour, layering, and soft transitions to create a landscape that feels both peaceful and alive. Perfect for all skill levels, with all materials provided!
Gouache paint is a unique medium that combines the best of both watercolour and acrylic, allowing you to create rich, opaque layers. For the first part of the workshop I will walk you step by step through my painting process where we’ll be painting a simple waterscape together. The second part of the class is painting from an either a reference photo of your chose or a selection of images that I will provide. With my guidance you will go through the process on your own. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, this workshop will cover essential techniques and tips to help you fall in love with this medium as much as I have.
